EL CAMPO AREA INFORMATION

El Campo is located in Wharton County at the crossroads of State Highway 71 and U.S. 59. It is approximately 70 miles southwest of Houston and 50 miles northeast of Victoria via U.S. 59. Matagorda Bay and the Gulf of Mexico are about 48 miles south on Highway 71. El Campo is the largest city in the county with agri-business, oil, and gas providing the primary economic base.
